Suitable Places To Practice Qi Gong

Due to its many amazing benefits, Qi Gong can be an excellent addition to everybody’s daily routine. You don’t require a great deal of time, special practice area, or any fancy equipment to perform this exercise.

Outdoors in a peaceful natural environment is the best place to practice Qi Gong. A place with beautiful natural scenery and plenty of fresh air is ideal although Qi Gong can also be performed indoors and almost anywhere.

There are certain general recommendations that make a place acceptable or unacceptable for Qi Gong practice.

For one thing, the place where you perform should not be too cold or too hot. To adapt your body to the place of practice, wear the right clothing. You should wear thick or more clothes if your exercise area is colder, and conversely should wear thin or less clothing if your exercise location is warmer. Qi Gong should never be performed in an area where you are exposed to a draft. Therefore, a place that is windy is suitable not for this type of exercise. Also, when you live in warmer climates, when you exercise you should always wear a shirt and not expose your body to the wind.

Next, you need to have an exercise location with abundant fresh air. Practicing in nature is very good. Try to avoid main sources of pollution such as traffic or industry. When practicing indoors, your place should have some open windows in order for air to circulate through although you need to make sure your body in not exposed to a draft. While not ideal, exercising in the city may be adequate when it’s done indoors or outside in parks.

Finally, you should exercise in a location where you’re less likely to be bothered as Qi Gong requires focus and concentration. You need to tell others not to disturb you for a certain period of time, choose a room where there is less traffic, and turn off the phone if you’re doing Qi Gong indoors. If you choose to practice outdoors, select a location where people will be less likely to disrupt your practice.

You’ll be able to find areas well-suited for practicing Qi Gong by heeding these simple recommendations.
