The Youth Restoring And Life Extending Powers Of He Shou Wu

This story starts with a 57 year old man, unmarried, impotent, and frail, who had resorted to alcohol. He had fallen asleep outdoors, in a drunken stupor, only to awake to a network of intertwined plants stretching for yards that appeared in his eyes as “making love.” Fascinated at what he’s seeing, he dug one plant up by the roots and brought it to a small town. Although there was none who could identify the plant, one wise townsman suggested that in view of his pathetic state, this plant might have been divinely decreed to come to him as a tonic to help him. With nothing to lose and also a bit intrigued by what the townsman said, the impotent drunk dried the root, ground it up, and took it daily on an empty stomach. Before a week has passed, he noticed that he could barely control his sexual desire. After a few months, his normal strength was fully restored, and within six years, his youthful appearance came back, his hair became black again, his youthful appearance returned, and all his disease vanished! He was not only able to marry again he was able to father 20 children and lived to be 150 years old. Two of his boys also took this herb. One lived to a ripe full ago of 130 years old, and the other, whom he named He Shou Wu, lived to up 160 years old, and at the time of his death, still had a thick full set of black hair.

A 1933 edition of Time magazine published an obituary of Li Ching Yuen, a famous Taoist who allegedly had died at a very old age of 256 years. Some believed that the secret of his longevity was taking a life elixir called He Shou Wu every day. While this may be an exaggeration, the age extending power of He Shou Wu actually has been backed up by science. Basically, this helps prevent the oxidization of your cells, so with the help of this herb, you will not only be protected from process of aging as you get older, you will be also cleansed of pollutants and free radicals that tend to disrupt the optimal functioning of your cells. Studies have also shown that He shou wu can hinder MAO-B, a process that boosts dopamine use in the brain, and as you age, MAO-B activity significantly increases. Thus by being able to prevent MAO-B from using up all the dopamine in your brain, you not only can lower your stress levels and improve your mood you also can help slow down the aging process. Lots of controlled studies have already been done showing the lives of animals being prolonged by he shou wu, and that many people have actually lived longer lives because of it! One Chinese study concluded that he shou wu helped 90 percent of participants restore a portion of their gray hair to their natural color and helped fully recover the natural color of 65 percent of the participants. In fact, one of the most popular uses of this plant is to help bring back the natural hair color of people with gray hair. It should be emphasized that aside from the everyday consumption of he shou wu for several months, the study also involved the reduction of stress levels, daily exercise, and the avoidance of highly processed foods.

Who would’ve imagined that after taking he shou wu, a drunken impotent man would not only be buzzing with sexual desire, but after marrying, would be able to father nineteen children! The Chinese have been using he shou wu for more than a millennium, mainly to increase or restore sex drive, as well as to strengthen the ova and sperm, and to increase sexual fluids in both women and men. The high amounts of MAO-B also complement this effect, as your mood gets better from the increased supply of dopamine in your brain which can also be of great benefit to your nervous system.
